Troubleshoot the SiteScope


This page will help enable and collect the correct logs based upon the product area which needs further analysis.


You can find the the sitescope logging in the following directory:
  • %SITESCOPE_HOME%//logs

    Enable Debug:

    You can enable debug in sitescope by editting the following file:
  • SITESCOPE_HOME//conf//core//Tools//log4j//PlainJava//log4j.propperties
  • Sitescope Loggrabber:

    You can start the logggrabber tool in the following folder:
  • %SITESCOPE_HOME%/tools/LogGrabberSiteScope
    then start the LogGrabber.bat/sh tool
  • Error installing Operations Agent:

    Sitescope log:

    Log file name: HPSiteScope_config_tool.log
    Log file location:
    1. win-%temp% on windows platforms
    2. /tmp or /var/tmp on UNIX/Linux platforms

    Operations Agent log:

    Log file name: oainstall.log, oapatch.log
    Log file location:
    1. %ovdatadir%\log on Windows platforms
    2. /var/opt/OV/log/ on UNIX/Linux platforms

    Upgrading Sitescope logs:

    Log file path:
  • %SiteScope%\logs\upgrade.log
  • You can find the topology integration log in the following logfile:
  • %SITESCOPE_HOME%/logs/bac_integration
  • You can if a failover has been activated in the logfile below:
  • %SITESCOPE_HOME%/logs/high_availability.log.
